Robert E. - Today I drove down for Valley Springs to visit your restaurant because of your review in the stockton news paper. I was so excited to enjoy a great burger which is hard to fine. When I arrived I could not find a parking spot due to a kids car wash in your lot. Due to your limited parking, I felt this was poor business on your part since it was noon time on a Saturday. After going around the block I finally found a spot about a block down on Waterloo Rd. I walked down to your restaurant and found that you do not take ATM. Well I do not carry much cash at all, so I left. I feel you need to get with the times and take ATM cards as it is the same thing is cash. I was very disappointed after I drove 35 miles to give you business and support. I am sorry that I can not recommend you to my friends in the hills or Stockton.
Here is MY response.....
Hi Robert,
I am so sorry to hear about your experience trying to grab a bite to eat at our restaurant. I appreciate that you made an attempt to come down from Valley Springs. I wanted to touch on some of your concerns in your review.
That car wash was scheduled a week and a half before the article came out in the Record. We didn't know when the article was coming out, so we did not anticipate the overwhelming response. This car wash was not one of those usual "kids car washes", it was actually a fund raising car wash for a boy with terminal cancer in the hospital who doesn't have much time left. Friends and Family of the boy threw this car wash together to help with expenses. One of the gentlemen who volunteered even drove from Nevada after work at 3 a.m. just to get here in the morning to to help at this car wash. We knew that it would take up some of our parking on a busy Saturday, however, it was for a good cause and we are here to support our customers and community.
As for the Debit Card situation, we had ordered the machine last week but it arrived late Saturday afternoon right after you left. The Debit machine is now installed and is working. There was also a working ATM machine across the street at Waterloo Liquors where a lot of our customers get their money. I wish you were able to use that and had a chance to try us out. I hope next time you're in the area, you can stop by and give us a try. Thanks for your feedback and Take Care!! -Andrew W. @ Flips

I hope this clears up any misunderstandings. We appreciate all customer comments. Most of the time we do have reasons for our madness so yeah, the car wash was very important to us. This car wash is important to me personally because I have a 6 yr. old cousin in Canada with Cancer and who fights so hard everyday to live and has been put thru Chemo so many times. He's such a strong kid and has been through so much. He inspires me everyday.
